Making Negotiation Make Sense/Career Negotiations

  • 23 Aug 2018

Does the thought of negotiating make your stomach upset? After all of the arguing and haggling, is it usually unclear if you agreed to a good deal? What if negotiation was about maximizing value instead of winning, collaborating instead of fighting, and meeting needs instead of haggling? Well, it is. Seasoned negotiation trainer, mediator, and career coach Tad Mayer will help make negotiation make sense. He will give an overview of the different styles of negotiation, how to get the most for everyone through negotiating, and how to understand when to make a deal and when to walk away.

Tad Mayer is president of Career Negotiations. As an employee engagement trainer and career coach, he empowers professionals to advance. Tad works with companies to reduce turnover by helping early professionals network internally, managers identify valuable business initiatives that align with their professional aspirations, and executives identify roadblocks to overcome. He also works with individuals to move forward in their careers. He has co-authored the forthcoming book Own the Job Hunt.

The event is being sponsored by the Peabody Area Chamber of Commerce. Registration is $30, or $20 for PACC members. Click here for more information and registration.
