How Can You Say That?! Choosing Our Words as Mediators/MWI

  • 21 Mar 2019
  • 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM
  • MWI, 10 Liberty Square - 4th Floor, Boston, MA 02109

Words can float boats or sink good will. Choosing words carefully is not the small stuff, in work or in life. Subtle or obvious, the words we use are powerful tools, weapons, levers, invitations, and more. This will be an interactive workshop for improving your choice of words with your clients and colleagues to create rapport, hope and effective communication. Kate Fanger is an experienced mediator and conflict coach who  has made selectively chosen language the "art form" of her practice. Join her at this Roundtable to develop an awareness about the words we use and take part in discussion on some specific language tools that support successful conflict resolution and communication in general.

MWI Roundtable events are free for all active MWI mediators. Those who are not actively mediating with the MWI Court Panel are welcome to attend up to two Roundtables per year for free. RSVP is required for all attendees and can be completed by registering online. For more information on this and other upcoming MWI Roundtables, click here.
